Solar Awakening |
January, 2020 brought the first signs of activity (which I have noticed) in the form a small group of sunspots. In contrast, the sun was very, very devoid of sunspots in 2019.
Although this red-filtered broadband shot was taken with a color camera, the final image was converted to a monochrome view to make it easier to see the fine details (a red filter stack brought more contrast to the image, but made details tough to see in the color image).
