Science City by Moonlight |
The group of observatories located at the top of Mt. Haleakala are collectively called Science City. These are located southwest of the public summit observation point. While some do conventional science research, others do classified defense research. The silver object resembling a flying saucer ringed with red lights is the newest addition, an Air Force facility.
