Orionid Meteor - 10/21/2006

This is is a fisheye-lens shot taken during the Orionid Meteor Shower of 2006.  The prominent meteor visible near the constellation Auriga was very bright to have shown up so well on this photo taken with a slow lens. Click on the photo to see an enlargement of the meteor. Another meteor was captured on this photo, but is difficult to see even on the full-sized image.
